“Thoughts of a Business Man”
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. – Philemon 6
My name is Milt Aunan and through the leading of the Lord, I have founded Christian Revival Ministry (CRM). I am not a theologian, a pastor or an evangelist. My educational training and experience has been focused within the business community. I hold both a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Business Administration. I currently serve a healthcare system in east central Iowa as chief financial officer, after serving healthcare organizations in Arkansas and Texas. I am a Fellow in the AmericanCollege of Healthcare Executives, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. I have served as President of a school board, have served on a Planning and Zoning Commission, have served on a taxpayer association and I am a member of the American Institute and Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.I began my business career over 43 years ago with a large, international public accounting firm, where I was first introduced to the field of healthcare. Throughout my business career I have been committed to serving with honesty and integrity, with reliance on the presence and leadership of Jesus Christ.
Over the years, by the abundant grace of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit, I have grown in my understanding of the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Through that precious grace, I have come to understand more completely my saved state, my standing in Christ, the importance of searching Scripture to find its treasures, the importance of applying the truth of God’s Word into everyday obedient living, the importance of maintaining a more simple trust and confidence in God in all aspects of life, the importance of heavenly-mindedness which means separation from the things of the world, and the importance of fixing my hope on the wonderful and blessed second coming of Jesus Christ. As I have had the privilege over the years to share my gift of writing, speaking and teaching with others, I have seen first hand the “war of the ages” described by the Apostle Paul in Romans 7:21-25 and played out in many lives, including my own. The burden of my heart is for those individuals, saved by the grace of God, who are not rooted firmly in the incredible, eternal treasure of Jesus Christ and have, in many respects, given up on the battle and are living life defeated in a desert, wilderness experience. It is my desire that through Christian Revival Ministry I may write, speak and teach the gospel in its simplicity and to show how salvation is based not upon feelings but upon the finished work of Christ. It is my desire to help others experience victory over the “war of the ages” and to take hold of the wonderful life that is available to all who claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is my desire to be an ambassador of God committed to building up and strengthening His Church.
My wife of 45 years, Corene, and I have raised four daughters. We are the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren. I have served as soccer coach for my daughters and was a “drill team dad” for many years. I have been a jogger for over 35 years completing my first marathon in October 2002. Most of my writings and articles draw illustrations from my marriage, my family, my business career, and my many jogging adventures. It is my hope and desire, as the Lord leads, to challenge others to experience the same “Christian Revival” that I have experienced as I have drawn nearer and nearer to the very personal, real and living Almighty God.
